Until she vanished... Chasing the Stars by J.D. Rivera

Description:

Mackenzie Blanchard’s life wasn’t easy; never had been, never would be. She thought things were looking up when she started yet another new school her senior year. She made friends and was enjoying life the best she could.

One friendship turned into something more, and just when she felt safe, things were ripped apart.

Hayes Morgan had never cared about anyone but himself. He was living the life he wanted, just having fun. He never dreamed that he would fall for the new girl in school.

What started out as a sweet friendship turned into something he never thought possible, until she vanished...

Their paths collide a year after they last saw each other, but they are both harboring secrets. Will they be able to trust and love each other again, or will the secrets rip them apart forever?

Chasing the Stars will make you fall in love, but it will also bring a major issue in our society. I finished the story on my flight to Tampa, and I was text in JD between connecting flights. I just prayed that Mackenzie’s stubborn self wouldn’t get in the way of her happiness! - Goodreads

J.D. Rivera has written an awesome story about young love. This author nailed this love story. She kept it simple but intriguing. My heart broke for both characters. Doing right by your family is sometimes the hardest thing to do.
This story was sweet, heart-wrenching , and hopeful all in one. The story flowed beautifully from one chapter to the next. - Goodreads

Great story and I loved Hayes by the end. I understand Mackenzie’s side of things but was so frustrated with the running away. Great characters and HEA, so I am thrilled with the ending. - Goodreads
