Description:

Release Date: May 1st, 2015

Katia Stanislaus is a top insurance agent in Chicago, but her company is about to fold if she can't pull off a miracle. She convinces her boss to relocate to Indian Lake where she lived as a child and broke the heart of the one man whose account would be enough to save her job and her company.

The only problem is that Austin McCreary has been a near recluse since the day Katia left him. Austin won't take her calls and appears set on revenge for the pain Katia has caused him. Just seeing Austin, catapaults Katia back to the time when she was 16 and so very much in love. But it was just a teenage crush, wasn't it?

Alternative blurb:
As a top insurance agent in Chicago, Katia Stanislaus isn’t just used to pressure; she thrives on it. When she finds out her firm’s future is at stake, she’s the first to dream up a solution: relocate to Indian Lake and land the town’s reclusive millionaire as a client.

Austin McCreary might be the sweetheart she left brokenhearted when they were teens, but she can’t let her feelings—or his—get in the way of her career. If she can just convince him to listen to her explanation, and her pitch, he’ll see this is the deal of a lifetime. But that would involve talking, and he won’t even take her calls! How ridiculous. Because this is strictly business...isn’t it?

The synopsis is intriguing. I like the idea of Katia going back to her home town and trying to get her ex as a client for the company she works for. I am wondering how he got so wealthy if he is a recluse though.

I like the cover of Katia's Promise. The couple look great together - very content. However, it makes me think that Katia got back together with Austin which ruins the ending.

I like the cover for the most part. Not a big fan of the guy, though. He kinda looks like he has frosted tips/should go back to the 90s. There's just something about him that makes me think he's not interested in her. I can't figure out what it is, though.

For the synopsis, I like parts of both. I like the first paragraph in the main synopsis. I wish the second paragraph in the two options could be combined though. I think I like the fact that the alternative blurb has Austin's name first, like the first paragraph in the main blurb. So it kinda mirrors the first section. Part of me wishes that that section be redone as a whole. Put it in Austin's POV. I'd definitely avoid how the alternative blurb shows some extra personality. "[...] he won't even take her calls! How ridiculous." It just doesn't feel right to me, when the other parts are more like you're standing back as an impartial observer. I dunno. Maybe that'll be of some help? I'm an oddball though, so other people may not think anything like what I'm saying to try!

Nice cover. They look content together.

I like the first blurb better. It sounds more relationship focused rather than business focused. It gives a more personal and heartwarming feel I think.
