see what’s inside - Pink Moon (A New World #3) by Tonya Coffey

"Tonya Coffey’s PINK MOON is intense and emotionally driven as sharing love with each other is becoming a distant prize once again stolen [...]. Who says fantasy is all sunshine and hearts? There is grit, pain and an excellent storyteller in Tonya Coffey who brings her world to life, while opening the doors to our imaginations. I read to live another magical life with characters like these, I want to be entertained and Tonya Coffey has definitely entertained me with her words." - Dianne, Goodreads

Accepting what needs to be done, Jessa takes a risk to save Micha - a choice that may be her last.

GUEST POST
What catches your eye?

When you go to the bookstore and stroll down the aisle, searching for the next book to read, the cover makes a difference to me. You’ve heard the saying, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ but it’s hard not to do so. If the book doesn’t call to you, at first glance, more than likely, you won’t pick it up.

So I ask, what catches your eye? There are so many different kinds of book covers out there. Hand drawn covers, photo, computer generated and others I’m not sure about. I read a few articles earlier about the best covers for the year and to be honest; I wouldn’t have picked them as the best out of thousands of covers. That being said, everyone has their opinion on what they like.

For example, I like my book covers to reflect what’s written inside the pages. I don’t want to see something completely out there on the cover when the story is a down to earth. Don’t forget the ones that look remind me of an abstract painting—hand drawn cover—but isn’t abstract at all. It’s about a girl trying to find herself. If you have a girl with a sword in her hand, eyes narrowed on the front of a book. I’m expecting to read about a fierce warrior chick, kicking some butt. I don’t want to see a picture of a horse on the cover when the story is about a dog.

I don’t think it matters if your book cover is a drawing or a photo as long as it reflects the content and is of high quality. There are a lot of book covers that look like photographs that are actually computer enhanced drawings.

So the next time you are in search of a good book, pick up that one that you would pass, any other time, and see what’s inside.
