Review The Sexy & The Undead (Sexy Witches #1) by Charity Parkerson

REVIEW

"I don't watch movies at all. I read books," he added with an offended sniff.
"Those ridiculous fiction books," Ella retorted.
"Well, yes," Randall admitted. But still, most myths are based on some form of truth, so you must concede that my fears are not unfounded."

If you want to spend a few hours with a book to entertain yourself then The Sexy & The Undead is a very good choice.

It is a successful blend of humor, unexpected and romance. It is an unconventional complex because you’ll find gathered together all sorts of mythological and supernatural beings, and their features may differ from what you knew. Noteworthy is the Homo Coprophagus Somnambulus (look yourself for the translation from Latin :D) that you'll love from the first moment even if it is possible that at some point he’ll munch your hands or feet.

The atmosphere is always funny even if sometimes the love story takes over the scene. This is actually normal, given that it is a paranormal romance. About that I liked how the author provides the opportunity and the necessary elements for a love triangle - you will see whether there is a real one.

The book’s idea is that saying "be careful what you wish because it can be accomplished" can sometimes have good consequences. That if we overlook some events that are playing on the edge of love, jealousy and "sense" of property. Do not worry, love is there, but in the presence of well-intentioned decision for one or the other of the parties it can be lost very easily.

I liked also some dialogues that for sure will make you smile. The story has everything: bites, irony, jokes, jealousies, confrontations (oral) between rivals, and the secrets that will resolve the situation are well kept until the end.

The author does not need too many gimmicks to keep the sustained pace of the story. Everything is happens quickly, smoothly and... naturally giving the circumstances. You will not know when you read about 170 pages.

Now I have to go get my volume two because it is about Randall. Who is he? Read The Sexy & The Undead and find out! Then you will want more for sure!
"He was created of the night and has no light to guide him."
I received the books for review as part of Book Tour - Thank you

Romanian:

Citiți The Sexy & The Undead şi veți afla!! Apoi sigur că veți mai vrea!
