Release Date: September 29th, 2017

Five Gates. Five Sisters. Five Very Different Men.

Once there were two worlds connected by five magical gates. Then the Gate Keepers closed the gates and disappeared. The Gate Keepers have returned.

Nadia de Quinones was exiled when her nephew, the crown-prince was abducted on her watch. She’ll let nothing stand in the way of her redemption, not even discovering her heartbonded and a connection to an ancient magical gate.

Lord Gregor Cyrene is sworn to protect his country's royal heirs. After the youngest prince’s life is threatened, Gregor sets out to discover who is responsible and suspects the answer lies with Nadia.

When fate forces their competing goals to align, neither are prepared for the irresistible attraction between them. Can they see beyond their pasts and a millennia old hate between their people? Or will they continue to distrust, allowing those plotting against them to win?

GUEST POST
A Mermaid Tale

Who loves mermaids…especially stories about mermaids?! If you just “raised your hand”, you’re not alone. Stories about merfolk have been around for centuries. In fact, mermaids were assumed to be as real as whales in medieval times. In the 1800s, people were so fascinated by the creatures that fake remains were created by charlatans who fooled many with melded together skeletons made up of the torso, head, and limbs of a monkey, and the bottom half of a fish. Was anyone else fascinated by the Discovery Channel’s mockumentary, Mermaids: The Body Found in 2012? Though it was clearly a case of docufiction, it was still so tempting to buy into the hoax for mermaid lovers like me.

So it’s no surprise that I’d include the mythical creatures in my upcoming fantasy romance, Diomere’s Exile. However, my heroine, Nadia, is no mer “maid”, she is all woman…a kick-ass woman, who is literally a “fish-out-of-water”. She’s spent the last twelve years living in exile as she travels across the lands of Saimond hunting for her abducted nephew. Just as she finally locates him at the start of the story, she meets Gregor, the man destined to be her heartbonded, if only she’ll give him the time of day. But how can she allow herself to love, when her nephew is being targeted by assassins determined to keep him from taking his rightful place as Diomere’s crown-prince? Can Gregor convince Nadia to share her secrets and give him a chance, or will she finally return home with her nephew and live the rest of her life regretting the man meant to own her heart?

If this mermaid tale sounds like just the thing to sooth your angst over the fact that merfolk still belong solidly in the realm of myth, then please check out Diomere’s Exile. I’m confident you won’t regret it.
